Though we are in the early stages of
planning this project, we welcome musicians who wish to get involved.
Guest Artists on the autism spectrum will be featured on the record,
website, and within the documentary film. All recording will be done
remotely in local studios, allowing musicians to participate
regardless of their location, and having access to professional
recording equipment is not required.
Experience and understanding of jazz and soul music is important; some
of our compositions are complex and our goal is to feature skilled,
experienced musicians.
If you are interested in being a part of the project, please send an
email introduction, tell us a bit about yourself, your musical
experience, and answer the following questions: |
 |
 |
- Can you read sheet music?
- Can you read a chord chart (specifically a jazz chart, as one
might find in the Real Book?)
- What instrument(s) do you play and how long have you played?
- Have you ever recorded in a professional studio before?
- Do you write original music and, if so, is there a piece you
would like to submit for this project?
(Note that we have limited
time in the studio and not every piece will be accepted.)
- If you have a video or recording of yourself performing please
include a link to that as well.
